Barrels were toasted and charred first fill mountain oak casks from N. USA. Leads to a rich, sweet and spicy Speyside malt. A collectors item.

but the whisky is proper cracking too

with also big notes of sugared mocha

It seems that they tried to stay as close to the distillery’s character as possible

the most approachable beginner’s single malt on the market which can be enjoyed pouring straight from the bottle with no messing about with adding water or waiting for the alcohol heat to calm down

The grapy and raisiny notes have gone to the background

A brandy-based liqueur from Askalon Wines

except that these whiskies were really great

with also notes of yellow plums and apricots

Sweet vanilla and berry liqueur notes build on the finish

Somenotes of tar and liquorice wood

maybe more leather and apples
