As a Japanese born aerospace engineer, Isao Hosoe moved to Italy in his early twenties to establish his own design office in Milan. His first design (1970) was the Hebi Lamp which propelled him into the international media spotlight. Hebi because a huge success with many thousands sold throughout Europe.
