Viewed from above, their slow motion becomes abstracta quiet dance of shape and texture on deep blue water. Dark trails meandering through the lagoon are sediments of volcanic sand, released from the melting ice. They add a contrasting rhythm to the scene, as if ink were drawn across the

dense clouds

and pine cones

a phenomenon where longer wavelengths are absorbed

High above the Haukelifjell mountain region

Capturing the eruption up close with a 500mm prime lens revealed an unexpected variety of textures and forms
