Rolls Royce Limited Registered Office Sign originalEarly 20th Century bronze and enamel plaque for the Rolls Royce Limited registered office on Nightingale Road, Derby. The site was first developed in 1907 for production of the famous marque, and car production was ceased in Derby in 1939, due to the outbreak of WW2 and the need for the Merlin engines that powered the Spitfire. This sign was salvaged when the factory was closed in 2008, before being redeveloped as a residential & commercial site.

There is a long drawer along one side

entitled 'Equus Onyx' by Tracy Dawe

Measures: 67cm long x 34cm tall x 16cm wide

Not bad for a days' work

but although the outfit is identical

a female torso & a male head (see other listings)

It was reacquired by the family in 2018 and is still thriving to this day

originally in wax and plaster
