Frog Mask Pendant HummingbirdThis Frog Mask Pendant was hand carved by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Sean Whonnock. The pendant was carved from yellow cedar and painted in green, red, black, grey and orange acrylic. Cedar bark trims the edges of the pendant. The pendant had an adjustable black rope necklace attached with beads. The Frog symbolizes wealth and abundance. When a Frog is portrayed in art with his tongue touching another creature, it represents the sharing of knowledge and

then humbly closing its jaws

This crest comes from Calvin’s Tlingit great

One day I was inspired by some people of the frog clan to create this design for a large drum

most notably the Haida

The mask is painted in white and red acrylic and features white feathers and a small bundle of cedar bark on top of the mask
