Vandoren B40 Alto Clarinet Mouthpiece Everything ElseThe Vandoren B40 Alto Clarinet mouthpiece has tip opening of 1. 38mm and a medium long facing, which makes it a little more open and "meatier" than the 5RV. It has a great response when paired with a Vandoren Traditional 2. 5 or 3 reed. I'm personally a fan of this mouthpiece (it's in my collection) and use it a lot for Basset Horn playing because it really opens up the instrument and allows for a huge sound.
